My work spans two dimensions - the dimensions of space and time. It merges elements of the past with those of the present, and reflects a blending of several of my lifelong passions: history and photography, art and science, and the evolution of architecture.
As a child growing up in Boston and Washington - and later in cities I lived in or visited - I found endless fascination with the rich history I discovered there. Places where important events took place; where great men and women of the day founded a country and created the dream we call America. Much of that dream is reflected in the structures and neighborhoods they designed and built, and often - either out of desire or necessity - rebuilt.
I set out through photography to capture all of this in a way that evokes the same feelings I get whenever I visit these places to this day. A sense of awe upon seeing the towering skyline of Chicago, the granite monuments of Washington; the narrow streets of Boston and the diverse neighborhoods of San Francisco.
I've named this collection "Time After Time".
